For the past few months, I’ve been telling my Straight Talk audience about the people at Blue Cross who are doing hard work to make big improvements to the health insurance landscape and health in Louisiana.
Today, I want to introduce you to the head honcho here at Blue Cross, Dr. I. Steven Udvarhelyi. He’s our President and CEO and he’s best known around here as Dr. Steve.
Dr. Steve is leading Blue Cross’ in the charge to fundamentally improve health, make quality care more affordable and enhance the experience for patients. Steve, who is also a medical doctor, believes in challenging the status quo and committing to changing access to, and quality and cost of care. He is a man of vision and believes Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana can be a model for what can be done nationally.
During this series, I’ve told you about some of the remarkable people at Blue Cross. I’ve introduced you to our Chief Analytics & Data Officer Somesh Nigam, our Chief Information Officer Sue Kozik, and our Chief Human Resources Officer John Brown. They are doing amazing things for our customers and Louisiana people in general. Steve is one more very important foundation stone in our company.
