Straight Talk on Medical Marijuana

There’s been a lot of debate about medical marijuana over the years. At least 29 states have written laws that approve using marijuana for “medicinal purposes,” including Louisiana.

Here, the medical marijuana delivery system is still in infancy. But some states have systems, like medical marijuana cards and dispensaries, that allow members of the public with prescriptions to buy medicinal pot. There’s no doubt that medical marijuana is, in some places, big business.

So today, let’s answer the question on everybody’s minds. If you had a prescription for medical marijuana and a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana health plan, would we pay for it?
