I’ve been traveling the state recently, getting our brokers ready for the start of open enrollment. It’s part of my job to follow changes in state and federal regulations and let everyone – Blue Cross employees, our groups, our brokers who serve our groups and individual members, the general community – know how those changes will affect their health benefits.
One of the scariest, most life-altering things that can happen to any of us is a health crisis. We’re going along, working, living our everyday lives, then BAM! We fall sick, get a serious diagnosis or have a traumatic accident. It’s frightening, and can leave you feeling helpless and powerless.

Of the 100+ average appearances that I make each year, few events are as powerful as our annual Business to Business Forum on Healthcare Solutions, held recently at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
